More from Christmas party

We had a handmade gift exchange at Darla's party. We all brought a handmade gift valued around $5 using only current Stampin' Up! products. We played a game where we went in number order and could steal someone's gift they already opened or open a new one. We had alot of fun!!!!

I ended up Darla's gift that she made. Isn't it too cute??!!

What fun!!! Love seeing what everyone comes up with.

Now to the shoebox swap. We all got to do 8 people's projects (there were 13 of us and if we did everyones it would have taken us all night!!). Here are some of the ones I did. Too cute!!!!!

A late night!!!

Kelly and I went to Darla's last night (read post below) for our Christmas party and did not get home until after midnight!!!! Sorry Kelly!!! I know you had to work pretty early this morning so I am hoping you are not dragging too bad. We had a great time. Darla made all of us a cute little altered notepad and pen. She is so sweet!!!!

I just love our gift!!! Thanks so much Darla!!!!

Here are some pictures of the evening. As you can see we are all busy stamping away!!!

Here is a picture of Kelly and I with our upline Darla (she is the one in the middle).

I will be back later to post some pictures of the gift exchange. We had a great time doing that!!! Right now I have to run the kiddos to the movies-a mother's job is never done!!!!

Look what I got!!!!!!!

Getting ready for SU party

I am heading out to my 3rd level upline with Stampin' Up! tonight for our annual Christmas party. We do a handmade gift using only current Stampin' Up! products and a shoebox swap. I am taking my newest downline, Kelly, with me for the first time. I am sure she will have a great time!!! I know I did last Christmas!!! Darla is the sweetest upline and lives in Illnois. It takes about an hour and a half to get to her house which is not bad. I am sure Kelly and I will have lots to talk about on the way there and back so the time will fly by fast. Here are some pictures of the gift I am taking and of Kelly's too. The tree was made with the Dashing pattern paper and our red ribbon.

Here are some pictures of Kelly's gift she is taking. I think hers really turned out great!!!! She used one of the new sets in the Spring Summer Collection '08 called Embrace Life and some of the new Designer Series Paper called Ginger Blossom.

We got these little calendars from a website called Stamp On This. Just used some chipboard coasters, covered it with the pattern paper and then attached the calendar with Crystal Effects. For the flowers we just flipped the pattern paper over and cut out two flowers from the paper. I love how it turned out!!!

For my shoebox swap I am using the same stamp set, Embrace Life. I am really loving this set!!! Now I did not come up with this idea on my own I am casing it from someone else's blog and for the life of me I can not remember what blog I found it on, Sorry!!!! For those of you that do not know what a shoebox swap is it is just like a make 'n take. You bring enough material for a said number of people to make your project. But instead of just one person bringing something to do we all bring something to show and we set up in stations and take turns making everyones project. It is a great way to get new ideas for your own workshops since we all use new or current Stampin' Up! material. It is alot of fun!!!!

I used River Rock for the box, Groovy Guava and Watercolor Paper on the front of the box. I stamped the image in Stazon Black and then watercolored the image in with Groovy Guava and River Rock ink. I used my Crop-A-Dile and Jumbo Eyelets on the side of the box. You can fill it with anything or even put ribbon in the eyelets on the sides of the box.

Well I am off to come up with a snacky food to take tonight. Hopefully I can find something edible in my pantry!!!!
