This is a frame I made for my kids to give their dad for Father's Day. I used our On Board Ginormous Pieces for the frame and covered it with a piece of Cutie Pie Designer Series Paper. Using my Hobby Blade I cut away the inside of the paper and sanded the edges. Using other pieces of the Cutie Pie paper I cute out three different flowers. I attached a Rhinestone Brad to each of the flowers and attached them to the frame with our mini glue dots. I stamped the word "love" with my stamp set from the last catalog called So Many Sayings and punched it out with my Word Window Punch. I attached the Whisper White Grosgrain Ribbon to the back of the On Board frame and then covered the back with a piece of Rose Red cardstock. I think Jon is going to love this!!!!

Teacher gifts
This is an idea I got from Jackie at The Scalloped Edge. I saw hers and just loved them!!!!! I had these pots in my stash that I had bought at the dollar store for just a dollar. I got the sticks at our local Wal-Mart in the wedding/craft section and used my Die-cut Blooms out of the Occasions Mini to make the flowers. I finished them off with Hershey kisses and our new Striped Grosgrain Ribbon in Bashful Blue, Pumpkin Pie and Real Red (the same colors as the die-cut blooms). Tomorrow is the last day of school and I am going to take these "flower pots" to school so Griffen and Jordan can give them to their teachers to say "Thank You".
After making the flower pots I decided I needed something to take to the aides that help in their classrooms all year long. I had this three pack of glass bottles I had picked up at our local Wal-Mart awhile ago for $1.96 and decided to do a single flower in each bottle for the aides. Instead of filling the bottles with Hershey kisses (they wouldn't be able to get them out to eat them) I used mini gems I had on hand to fill the bottle up with. I think they turned out so cute too!!!!May 25, 2008

Graduation Gift
This is a 4x6 photo album I picked up at our local Wal-Mart for around $1.50. All I do is cover the front and back panels and I am done. These make great quick and inexpensive graduation gifts. Since my husband is the Assistant Coach and the JV Coach for the local High School Girls Softball Team we get invited to the seniors' graduation parties. This is his second year doing this and he really enjoys it but it would get really expensive for us if we got each senior a gift so I started making these albums for them last year and they really seemed to like them. So this year I am doing it again for the four seniors' parties we have. I also include a home made card too.
For this album I used the Linen Prints Designer Series Paper that retired with the last catalog. I just love this paper. I just layered it on the album and stamped the word "memories" with the new Taffy Alphabet in the current Spring/Summer Collection. I did use my Stamp-Ma-Jig to make sure the letters were stamped evenly. This is by far my favorite tool!!!!!! For the flower I used several punches: the 5-Petal, Spring Flower Bouquet (now retired) and the Daisy (retired). I then attached the flowers all together with a pink Rhinestone Brad.May 23, 2008

My Graduation Card
Here is the card I did for all my graduation parties we are invited to. We have 7 parties and they are all from the same school so I used this same layout and same colors (they match our school colors). I know I said in an earlier post that I did not have this stamp set, Great Grads. I borrowed it from one of my downline, Beth Cave. She was so nice to let me use it this past weekend at my retreat we had at my m0m's. I also used the Brilliant Blue Prints Designer Series Paper and Cardstock along with Whisper White. I think this card turned out pretty good. Very simple but easy to reproduce several times.

Graduation Day
That's right. High School Graduation Day is right around the corner. Do you know anyone graduating? Have you made your cards yet? We have 6 graduation parties we are invited to!!! And on top of that they are ALL on different days/nights. So let me tell you we will be partied out when these are all over with. One graduation is our niece on my husbands side so we have to go to the actual graduation at the school. Always fun to go to those isn't it??!!?? Anyhow lets get to this graduation card I am posting. This is actually not one that I made for myself. A friend of mine called and asked if I could help her out with a graduation card for some friends that live several states south of us. She gave me the school colors and wanted me to try and make the card Stampin' Up! showcases on page 55 of the current catalog. I told her I could figure out the card but I don't have that graduation stamp set. I have the one from the last catalog that retired on me. She said that was fine. So I got to work and came up with this card. How do you like? Well I delivered them to her today and she just LOVED them!!!!! I am showing you a picture of the inside holding a dollar bill but I am sure she will be putting more then a dollar in them for her gift. I just wanted you to get the idea. So now I need to work on my cards!!!LOL!!!!

OnBoard Accent Card
Here is a card I did using some of the OnBoard Accents that are on sale this month. OnBoard Accents are 25% off with a qualifying order during the whole month of May!!!! On this card I demonstrated how you can use these pieces plain meaning you do not have to cover, paint, stamp or ink them. I used the Bali Breeze Designer Series Paper as my color scheme for this card. The card is Rose Red with Taken with Teal and Pumpkin Pie. The two stamp sets I used are the Dots are Hot and Smarty Pants. I punched the flowers out of the five-petal punch, used a pop up glue dot and dipped it into my chunky glitter for the center of my flower. This is really a neat and fun way to make your flowers "POP".

Friend
Like chipboard? Well this month it is on SALE!!!! Yes, that is right. Stampin' Up is running a great special this month. On Board Accents are 25% off the entire month of May with a qualifying order. On this card I used the On Board Simon Lower for the "f". Covered it with pattern paper from the Afternoon Tea Designer Series Paper out of the Occasions Mini. For the rest of the word "friend" I used the new Taffy Alphabet that is in the current Spring/Summer Collection. Too cute!!!!

Mother's Day Gift
This is the gift I made for my mom that I gave her on Mother's Day. I purchased a transfer from Uppercase Living (my girlfriend is a demonstrator), bought this 12x12 frame from Wal-Mart and used Stampin' Up!'s Designer Series Prints Paper in So Saffron. I used a full sheet as the background and then cut skinny strips and applied them to a long strip of Whisper White cardstock after I cut the scallop border with my corner rounder. Before I put the frame back together I used the wide So Saffron ribbon from the Sherbet Ribbon Originals and wrapped it around the glass and paper. After putting the frame back together I used a smaller piece of ribbon and tied my knot. Using the Pretties Kit I made myself a hat pin and put it through the ribbon. My mom really liked it!!!!
Mother's Day
I hope everyone had a great Mother's Day!!!! I know I did except for the crappy weather we had!! My mom, my sister and her family and my other sister all came over for dinner on Sunday. We were suppose to grill out and spend sometime outside but the weather forced us to stay inside so I baked supper instead.

Color Inspiration #8
Here is Kirstina's color inspiration she posted last week. I missed the deadline to submit my entry but I still wanted to show you what I came up with. I really like these colors together: Whisper White, Bashful Blue, Pumpkin Pie & Brillant Blue. Very simple but I like it.

National Scrapbooking Week
This is a page I did for National Scrapbooking Day to give away FREE to one lucky lady that showed up at my house, finished her four 12x12 pages we offered and placed an order. For placing an order that day (Saturday, May 3rd) you would get a red ticket for every $5 you spent. You then got to put your tickets into a drawing for two different 12x12 layouts already done for you!!! This one above was mine DONE but you would receive the layout right below to take home and add your own pictures too. Kelly, my downline that helped me that day, did her own 12x12 layout too for the ladies to choose from. Two lucky women won these awesome pages (if I do say so myself).
