A Fond Farewell

It is always sad to see a Stampin' Up! Mini come to an end but then again it is always exciting too because that means a brand new Stampin' Up! Mini will be starting!! Since today is the very last day you can order out of the Summer Mini I wanted to show you one last card using my favorite stamp set and DSP that is in this Mini.

Yesterday we got the call that my husbands oldest niece was in labor with their first child, our second grand niece or nephew. I am happy to announce that we now have two grand nephews and that there is another one on the way next month!! So exciting!!! As soon as we heard the news I knew exactly what stamp set I wanted to use to make them a baby card. I hope you all like it as much as I do and yes, the proud parents liked it too.

I used the Travel Journal DSP (my fav!!), Night of Navy, Bashful Blue, Pumpkin Pie, Crumb Cake & Whisper White Card Stock, the stamp sets called Pedaling Past (my fav!!) & Nursery Necessities, Night of Navy 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon, Regals Brads and 1 1/4" Square, 1 3/8" Square, Word Window, Modern Label & Scallop Border Punches.

I also used last weeks Mojo Monday Sketch. Love sketches and don't think I can do anything with out them!!! LOL!!!

I also want to give you all a heads up about some new exciting stuff that is going to be happening over on the Stamping 411 Blog starting tomorrow. Each Operator has stepped up to take over a new role regarding our Stamping 411 Blog. I am going to be doing something scrapbooking related on the first Wednesday of each month so make sure you check it out tomorrow and let me know what you all think. After that there is going to be a feature each Wednesday of the month and a new Techniques spotlight on a rotating basis with the Color Inspiration on Thursdays. This is all so exciting and I can not wait for all of this to start!!

Now if you want to get anything out of the Summer Mini before it is gone forever contact me today or go to my online store HERE to place your order. There are lots of awesome stuff in there that I am going to miss!!!

Have a great day!

UDI Sketch Challenge #98

on a special day. Yep, it is my birthday today and not only a birthday but a BIG Birthday!! I am turning the BIG 4O today!! I am actually not taking this one too well so if you can leave me some encouraging words I would very much appreciate it!!
Now onto my card which I didn't even realize until after I had it done that I did a Birthday Card using our sketch for this week to be posted on my birthday. Too funny!!!
Check out the UDI Blog to see the sketch and I will warn you now that I didn't follow it exactly but that is what a sketch is for, a guideline. I started with the Celebrations DSP, Pacific Point, Pear Pizzazz, Real Red, Bashful Blue & Whisper White Card Stock, Brights Brads, Modern Label, Word Window, Star, Scallop Trim Border, 1 1/4" Square & 1 3/8" Square Punches, Linen Thread and the stamp set called Party This Way.

This banner was so much fun to make. First punch out several stars using your Star Punch. Then just cut off each point and using some Multipurpose Liquid Glue just glue them to the Linen Thread. Very easy and fun!!
Now head on over to Carol's Blog to see what she has come up using this same sketch. Remember that the whole Design Team is hooked up so keep going to get lots of great ideas!!

Have a great day!!

Baby Roller Card

How is everyone doing this fine hump day? Our weather is looking awesome!! So far this week we have been in the high 80's low 90's and what a break that is from the high high 90's we have been having!! Almost bearable to go outside!! But I think I would rather still be inside stamping!!

Just look at what you can create by staying inside and stamping!! If you are not a fan of the wheels I hope this card makes you want to give them a try!! I used the Nursery Suite Specialty DSP, Chocolate Chip, Regal Rose, So Saffron & Whisper White Card Stock, Whisper White 5/8" Grosgrain Ribbon, the Jumbo Wheel called Baby Tees, Modern Label, Word Window, Scallop Border, 1 1/4" Circle & 1 3/8" Circle Punches and my markers.

For this card I first wheeled the Baby Tees onto the Whisper White Card Stock using Regal Rose ink. I then rolled the wheel on to scrap Whisper White Card Stock using Chocolate Chip ink. I then cut out the baby tees from the scrap, colored them as I wanted and adhered them on top of the Regal Rose baby tees using Stampin' Dimensionals.

I love using all different sizes of punches to make a nice focal point for my saying. Too fun!!!

I hope you are enjoying your weather today and have decided that it is still nice to stay inside and stamp!!

Have a great day!!

Our Luv Layout

Here is another layout I did using this awesome Nursery Suite Specialty DSP. I just LOVE the two different shaped pages you get in this paper pack. AND you get two of each for a total of four.

I just love these Pearls we have now!! Some come individual and some come all hooked up in a line.

I also did use my sewing machine. I love sewing on my projects and really need to start doing it alot more!!

I hope I have inspired some of you to get scrapping!! Or maybe to try this new Designer Series Paper!!

Have a great day!!!

UDI 3D Swap At Convention

I made this for the UDI 3D Swap I was involved in while at Convention. For this swap all we had to do was sign up and make one WOW 3D project. Who ever signs up brings their project to Convention too and we get together one evening, have dinner and do a game to see who gets which item. We also get to take pictures of the other 3D items so it is a great way to get lots of great ideas but only have to make one of them!!

This was the project I made and brought with me. Do you love it as much as I do??? AND this Play Date DSP is just too much fun to play with!!

I started with a blank canvas that was attached to a wood frame that I picked up at Big Lots for $3. I covered it with the Play Date DSP and also used the Play Date Quick Accents, Old Olive 5/8" Satin Ribbon, Real Red 5/8" Grosgrain Ribbon, Rhinestone Brads, Natural Twine, Brights Designer Buttons and 1 3/4" Circle Punch.

This was just too much fun to make!! I am going to have to pick up some more of these canvas and make lots of these!! They make great gifts!!

Have a great day
