Hello with a Technique

When you become a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator you start receiving this awesome catalog called Stampin' Success once a month from Stampin' Up! This magazine is one of many items I cherish from Stampin' Up!

They fill this magazine with tons of business information, recognition and stamping. In the March issue they created this article about Acrylic Distress, gave us the step by step directions with pictures and they even gave us a printable PDF of this project. Stampin' Up! is totally AWESOME!!!!

My card is a total CASE of the card they did for us in the magazine. The only two things I changed was I did not round my two corners of my card and I used our Craft Ink instead of Acrylic Paint.

You read that right, I decided to showcase our Craft Ink instead of showing a product we don't sell. I did this card as part of my demonstration at a recent workshop and everyone loved it!! They were amazed that I "painted" with a Chocolate Chip Craft Re-inker. I showed them how to paint a piece of Whisper White Card Stock using the Re-inker and a Stampin' Sponge (I did have a dried back-up so I could continue with the card).

After your ink is dried you will punch a shape out, I used the 2 3/8" Scallop Circle, run it through your Big Shot using the Petals-a-Plenty Embossing Folder, gently sand the flowers using a Sanding Block and then I applied Melon Mambo Classic Ink to the flowers using a Sponge Dauber.

I also used Crumb Cake Card Stock, 1" Circle Punch, Posy Punch Hostess Stamp Set, Crumb Cake 1/2" Seam Binding Ribbon, Pocketful of Posies DSP and White Uni-ball Signo Gel Pen.
